Happy Easter

Džiugių šventų Velykų!

I share the fullness of the gospel so that the joy may be perfect and eternal.

God is the Father of our spirits. He is the source of all good, truth, life, and power. He created all that is visible and all that is invisible. Everything belongs to Him. He sees and rules everything. He loves His children more than His life. To make His children free and happy, He provided agency for them and teaches them to live according to the truth which brings happiness. Doing everything He can to ensure the happiness of His children, He invited them to keep His ever-blessing commandments, to be His co-workers.

Alas, Satan has tempted children of God to defy the Father, and to be governed by their selfish desires and wishes, to live for themselves. Thus being separated from the source of goodness and life, children subjected themselves to evil, misery, and death. They began to sin, quarrel, divide into groups, elect their own leaders, dissent from others and quarrel with words and actions. As children grew, their strife began to be more serious. Because of such strife, some of the children died. Those who remained started to accuse each other, demand the death of the unrighteous, and o execute their own judgments. In this way, all men should perish, for 'there is none righteous', 'for all have sinned' and 'the wages of sin is death' (Romans 3:10, 23; 6:23; Luke 13:3).

But God before the creation of this world designed to save them from evil and from death. In the Gospel of John, it is written: 'For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life' (John 3:16). Jesus Christ suffered and died for the sins of all people, the righteous for the unrighteous. However, He then rose from the dead and now has the power to resurrect all. 'And … He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him which died for them, and rose again… that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself' (2 Corinthians 5:15–19; see also John 14:10; Mosiah 15:1–7; Ether 3:14–16; Doctrine and Covenants 19:18).

As action causes the reaction, so the eternal God in Christ by His grace, godly life, death for His children, and resurrection to live for them created a possibility for them to answer the same (see Matthew 7:2,12; 2 Nephi 9:5; John 1:12; 7:39; 1 John 4:19). Therefore everyone who believes in Christ and His Gospel, through repentance may return to Heavenly Father and live forever in His Kingdom of happiness (Ephesians 2; 1 John 1:9; Romans 8:31–39; Revelation 21:3–7).

In the last days, Heavenly Father talked to the prophet face-to-face and established His kingdom on the earth – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Father did everything so that we could live and perfect ourselves in His kingdom, His family. It is now our turn to properly accept these incredible gifts, paid by the blood and death of Christ on the cross.

We who have believed in what the Father has done for us regretted our lack of love and decided to follow God's perfect example. We willingly repent of our sins, and the Father gladly forgives us. Through the ordinances and covenants He established we joined God's kingdom. As God out of His love toward us dedicated everything for us - even Himself and His life, we gladly dedicated ourselves to Him. We strive to follow His goodly desires, teachings, and commandments, to do what pleases Him, as Jesus Christ did. We try not to harm or blame others, but to forgive, plead, teach, bless, not to give in to evil, but to overcome it by doing good. We try to become a family of true friends, under the guidance of God. We know that this is the only perfect system. In such a system, all decisions come from the pure love of the Father, His perfect knowledge of the truth, and all the power to create the good. We are forever grateful to our Father, who designed and made it all possible. Out of our love and gratitude for Him, we try to help Him in His work – according to His example and word to build up His kingdom around ourselves for the eternal happiness and glory of Him and His children.
